Citizens Information Centres are countrywide voluntary organisations
operating throughout Ireland providing free, confidential and impartial
information, advice and advocacy services to members of the public, on
their rights and entitlements.
The centres are stocked with a full range of information
on civil and social rights and entitlements and on state and other services.
CICs access information through the Citizens Information
Database and through local sources.
Comhairle supports the overall development of Citizens Information
Centres throughout the country.
