Comhairle's National Conference

Comhairle’s National Conference took place in Limerick on the 17th and 18th October 2003 and was opened by Ms Mary Coughlan, TD, Minister for Social and Family Affairs.

The theme of the Conference was ‘Information – Gateway to Inclusion’. This theme was developed by the speakers who included:

• Ms Emily O'Reilly Ombudsman and Information Commissioner;
• a presentation on eGovernment - Delivering Better Services, was delivered by Mr Jim Duffy, Assistant Secretary Department of Finance
• Information provision - a proactive approach - Mr Tomás Lally, Development Manager, Mayo CIS.

The Conference was attended by Development Manager, two members of staff and treasurer. (Conferences papers to be made available). There was also workshops on Advocacy.
