Healthy Living Expo

As a result of the dedication, hard work and organizational skills of the staff of Ennis General hospital, who volunteered their time and expertise the 2003 Expo proved such a marvelous success and a benefit to the community.

The people of Clare showed again how important their health and well being is to them by turning out in such large numbers. The most important aspect with the public, again this year, was the health screening with over 450 people availing of it. Blood cholesterol, blood glucose, blood pressure levels and Body Mass Index were measured. Also on the day there was a large array of information stands on Health promotion and social services. The Citizens Information Centres got a huge amount of queries at their stand throughout the day, where a wide selection of booklets and leaflets were on display.
