Outreach Service in Killaloe Launched

A new outreach Citizens Information Service was launched in Killaloe on Friday 19th September, as part of a county strategy to provide access to information.

The service is operating from the Killaloe/Ballina Family Resource Centre, Ryagan House every Wednesday, where Amanda Milne Information Officer is available to meet clients to offer advice and give free, impartial and confidential information.

The objective is to provide people with the opportunity in the Killaloe Ballina area to meet the service personally and access information and advocacy services.

The County launch of a new Citizens Information mobile unit, also took place in Killaloe on the day, as one of many events that were being organised nation-wide to mark Disability Information Awareness Week.

The new Citizens Information mobile unit is being used by Citizens Information Centres to increase access to information for people with disabilities and the general public.
