The mobile provided an information service at twenty-one separate locations each day from the 8th – 26th September and from 28th October - 10th November. The Information officers dealt with 611 queries from callers during this period of service.

The objective is to try to reach out to rural areas of the County to ensure that all citizens have easy access to good quality information, advice and advocacy.

“Professional staff deliver the service and it’s free confidential and impartial with no need to prior appointment. The service is purely for the convenience of those who do not normally have easy access to information services around the county or who would find it’s hard to visit the main offices in Shannon, Kilrush, Scarriff and Ennis”, according to Paul Woulfe, Manager of the County Wide Information Centres.

To find the upto date schedule for the mobile in 2004 check our website our contact Ennis CIC for further details. Venues are also advertised in the local Press and Clare FM Radio.
