Social Welfare

Ennis Citizens Information Centre offers information on the various schemes, income supports and services offered by the Department of Social and Family Affairs.
While we carry the full range of leaflets and application forms, we also advise people on the entitlements that are available to them and we assist people in making claims for allowances and benefits and other schemes.

We liase with the Department of Social and Family Affairs in cases where people are unsure of their entitlements or are awaiting a decision on their social welfare claim.

We also assist people in appealing decisions made by the Department, where a social welfare claim has been disallowed and, when requested by our clients, we follow-up on such cases until a clear outcome is achieved.
